Yellow is a ray of sunshine, a happy thought, a new bloom, but is also a caution, a sign
to slow down, and that is what
The Yellow Review brings to
proposal management.

A positive attitude, a fresh perspective, and caution lights when pursuits are out of reach, or guidance to help stay on schedule and on track with compliant content.

Introducing

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Nikki Campbell, CPSM, CF APMP

My name is Nikki Campbell, and I am the founder of The Yellow Review, LLC.

In 2015, I fell into proposal management and fell in love with the adrenaline rush of working with different teams, keeping all the pieces on schedule, and creating a positive environment for the team in a deadline driven environment. Every proposal has its quirks, different project scopes with different requirements, staff needs, turnaround time. Here’s the secret: it doesn’t have to be chaos.

I’ve been called a bulldog of a proposal manager: tough, focused, and driven to coordinate efforts across a team that included engineers and transportation companies that were not familiar with federal proposals.

I have prepared teams for 45-minute oral presentations that had 8 speakers, no video or slides, and a small Q&A session at the end. It required personality, pregnant pauses, and solid delivery. Coaching, mentoring, and helping teams grow is how I achieve success and wins.

I have had to right the ship, stepping in for a team on vacation to pull out a win. We were two weeks behind schedule, no outline, no internal review schedule, lost hope. I stepped in and found the path forward, developed an outline, strategized the response development, and facilitated reviews. My win themes and proposal designs earned the respect and appreciation of the team and the evaluators.

This team success came from my positive attitude, methodical approach with the ability to pivot, and a calm, confident demeanor during the proposal storm.

My skills have only been amplified since  I found a community within SMPS and earned my CPSM. I recently obtained my APMP Foundation certification to take my career one step further to help my clients. Proposal Management is a craft, and I continue to take it to greater heights.

By launching The Yellow Review, LLC, I am putting my over a decade of experience to work for you. I’ve seen a lot, and I know where the potholes are (and how to get around them). Reach out to see if we’re a good fit for your next submission.
